Description

A determined 12-year-old girl vies for a spot on China’s Youth Olympics weightlifting team. She finds an unlikely mentor in a man who most people do not even notice, but may hold the key to her success.

Director's Bio

Johnson Cheng is an award-winning Chinese American writer/director hailing from the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County. After receiving his B.A. in International Relations, he joined Columbia University’s M.F.A. Film Directing/Screenwriting program. His films have screened at international film festivals such as Tribeca, TIFF Kids, Reykjavík, Cinequest, Nashville, Florida, and Palm Springs. Johnson is a member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild.
