Aratani Central Hall at JANM
The Aratani Central Hall at the Japanese American National Museum (JANM) is host to the festival’s Conference for Creative Content, otherwise known as C3. This conference features panels from leading industry professionals on a variety of topics that have included Women in Filmmaking and Writing for Diverse Voices.
Parking: Several pay lots available in Little Tokyo. Metered street parking is also available.
Aratani Theatre
The Aratani Theatre at the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center (JACCC) regularly hosts the festival’s Opening Night and Centerpiece films as well as several others during festival week. Opened in 1983, the theatre features a custom-designed Bose RoomMatch sound system.
Parking: Several pay lots available in Little Tokyo. Metered street parking is also available.
Art Share L.A.
Art Share L.A. is a creative art center in the heart of the Arts District in Downtown Los Angeles. The venue is host to the FilAm Creative shorts program.
Parking: There is ample metered street parking available in the immediate area, including Traction Ave. to the east.
CGV Buena Park
Opened in January 2017, CGV Buena Park is the newest theater space and only the second in the United States developed by CGV Cinemas. Guests can purchase flavored popcorn from CGV’s Popcorn Factory and a premium selection of wine and beer at The Bar. The theater will host the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival’s encore week from May 5th to May 11th.

CGV Cinemas in Koreatown is the first American branch of the South Korean multiplex chain. The theater regularly plays a mix of US and Korean motion pictures.
Parking: CGV parking available at the Madang site through an entrance on Manhattan Street. Parking tickets validated by CGV grant 3 hours of free parking at the Madang parking complex. Please arrive early to access parking. Otherwise, pay lots are available in the surrounding areas.

Darren Star Screening Room at UCLA
The Darren Star Screening Room is a new, state-of-the-art space for film and television critical studies education, as well as a catalyst for special screenings of classic and new films, industry panels and lectures by distinguished visiting artists. The beautiful 54-seat screening room, located in Melnitz Hall, debuted in January 2015, made possible through a generous donation provided by television series creator, executive producer and writer Darren Star.
Directors Guild of America
The DGA Theater Complex in West Hollywood is one of the leading screening facilities in the United States and is the site of the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival’s awards ceremony, closing night film, and closing night gala.
Parking: Option #1: Underground parking structure beneath DGA (entrance on Hayworth Ave). Option #2: Overflow parking structure across Hayworth, beneath Sunset-Lofts development. There is a designated parking level for DGA patrons.
Downtown Independent
The Downtown Independent theater is a single-screen cinema that primarily features independent films and special events throughout the year.
Parking: Several pay lots available in Downtown LA. 24-hour parking lot behind the theater (enter on Spring Street or Harlem Lane).
The Egyptian Theatre
Grauman’s Egyptian Theatre is a noted movie theater located at 6706 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California. Opened in 1922, it is an early example of a lavish movie palace and is noted as having been the site of the first-ever Hollywood film premiere. Since 1998 it has been operated by the American Cinematheque film archive.
Parking: There are several area parking lots that charge various amounts at various times of day. The Egyptian does not validate for the Hollywood & Highland complex parking lot or any other lot.

Festival HQ includes Guest Services, Box Office, and other informational services for our Festival guests, corporate sponsors, volunteers, and VC Members.
Hours: Friday, April 28 (4 PM to 9 PM); Saturday, April 29 (10 AM to 7 PM); Sunday, April 30 (11 AM to 6 PM)

Geffen Contemporary at MOCA
Geffen Contemporary at MOCA is the largest of 3 MOCA branches presents world-class contemporary art in a former police garage, this is the first year that Geffen Contemporary at MOCA has been used for the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival.

The Great Company
The Great Company is host to the festival’s Top 8 program, a collection of short films curated by We Own the 8th showcasing works from the AAPI community. We Own the 8th is an Asian American arts collective that meets regularly at The Great Company on the 8th of each month to share ideas, inspire one another, and discuss issues facing Asian-Americans in contemporary media.
Parking: Street parking is available. Please be aware of parking restrictions and red zones.
Historic Nishi Building
The Historic Nishi Building on 1st and Central is one of the venues of Bronzeville Little Tokyo and will host a projection map installation and a virtual reality animation on Saturday, April 29 (3 to 10 PM) and Sunday, April 30 (3 to 8 PM).
