Description

POMMEL is set within the world of competitive gymnastics. It’s a coming-of-age drama about the tumultuous relationship between two young East Asian brothers as they compete for recognition and approval in an upcoming gymnastics competition.


Director's Bio

Born in London, England, Paris Zarcilla is a film and television director. Drawing from his years as a competitive gymnast and training in ballet, he emerged with a script called POMMEL, with the support of Creative England and the BFI. He is currently writing a TV mini-series, which he’ll direct under the digital Emmy-nominated production company, Refinery, with pre-production beginning March 2018.
